EVA Air has a good flight safety record. In 2004, the German Aero International magazine selected EVA Air as one of the top ten safest airlines in the world. In 2005, EVA Air became the first company in Taiwan to officially pass the “International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit Certification (IOSA)” with “zero defects and zero suggestions”.

After successively introducing 11 Airbus A330-200s in 2003, EVA Air has introduced 15 Boeing 777s year by year since 2005, becoming the main force of EVA Air's fleet.

As of 2008, EVA Air is the No. 1 brand in Taiwanese consumers' ideal brand survey on international routes.
